Q. How many students can Lincroft take in year 7?
A. Our published admission number (PAN) is 210. Places are offered in accordance with our 'Determined Admissions Arrangements for Lincroft Academy 2021

Q. How will places be allocated?
A. Places will be allocated according to the oversubscription criteria in the determined admission arrangements, up to the PAN of 210. 

Q. My child lives in the Lincroft catchment area. Are they guaranteed a place in September 2021?
A. You will see from  the determined admissions arrangements for September 2021 the criteria for which we will admit children to Lincroft Academy.

Q. What should I do if my application is unsuccessful?
A. With your notification of place letter sent in March, there will be details of how to appeal should you wish to. This process is handled by Bedford Borough Council.

Q. Do you keep a waiting list?
A. Bedford Borough keep a waiting list on our behalf. You should advise Bedford Borough if you wish to be kept on the waiting list. We are only able to offer a place if we drop below our PAN of 210. Places are allocated in accordance with the school’s admissions policy.

Q. Are all children who attend Lincroft entitled to a free school bus pass?
A. Year 7 students living in Oakley and Clapham are expected to walk to school as there is a safe walking route and Lincroft is within a reasonable walking distance from these villages. School transport currently provide school buses for Bromham and Stevington. 

Students who are eligible for free home to school transport will receive written confirmation of this at the start of the summer term which will include further information about when the bus passes will be issued.

For those students who do not qualify for free home to school transport, the responsibility for transport arrangements and costs to and from the school lies with the parent.

Please remember that as a school, we have no control over bus routes/costs etc.

Q. What should I do if I move house between 1st November 2020 and 28th February 2021?
A. You must advise your local authority straight away. Failure to do so may invalidate your application.
