Assistant Facilities Manager - non residential - Tuesday 19th November 2019


Full time 37 hours per week
Grade BBU9 NJC 24 – 27 £27,905 - £30,507 pa

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Facilities Manager to join and support our existing Facilities and Building Services Manager in the smooth running of the academies and support the work of the site teams across the Trust.

Sound knowledge of security, supervision of the site together with porterage, cleaning and general maintenance experience is required as is the knowledge of cleaning operations to ensure that the schools provides a clean, safe and secure environment for its staff, students and visitors. A good working knowledge of service contracts and compliance issues within a school environment would also be an advantage.

The Assistant Facilities Manager will be expected to monitor service and test schedules, make recommendations and plan any necessary works, along with planning and procurement of day to day planned maintenance works under the direction of the Facilities and Building Services Manager.

An excellent understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure that all duties are carried out with diligence together with experience of supervisory skills is essential.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they are motivated and committed to working to a high standard, enjoy working as part of a team and be flexible in their approach to both the job role and the changing demands of our schools, in addition to supporting the wellbeing of our students.

A full clean driving licence is essential to assist in maintaining the academies fleet of minibuses, and as part of the Multi-Academy Trust, you may be required to provide support to other academies within the Federation. Flexibility to cover sickness and annual leave across the SAF site team may be required.

Working hours negotiable between 8.00 am – 5.00 pm
