School Uniform Update 19 June 2020
Since the school reduced the numbers of students able to attend, and in line with all of the other SAF academies, we relaxed the school uniform expectation, and asked those students who continued to attend to wear their casual clothes rather than their uniform.
This decision was taken to reduce the burden of additional daily washing to reduce the risk of the potential contamination/spread of the virus.
As we now look further ahead and formulate plans for the new school year, all of the SAF academies will to continue to allow students to wear their casual clothes in school. This will continue to be the case until at least October half term, when the position will be reviewed, and families updated accordingly. We are advising you now as you may wish to refrain from purchasing any new uniform at this stage; we will, of course, keep you informed as plans move forward.
If you have any concerns on the impact of our revised expectation regarding uniform, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you still wish to buy uniform early please note that Price & Buckland are offering Free Returns over the Summer but ONLY through the Royal Mail link below. Refunds will not be issued on any parcels returned by any other means.

Only natural colours are permitted; if hair is coloured, no extreme shades are allowed. No extreme styles are allowed. Minimum of grade 2. No tramlines or patterns should be shaved into the hair or the eyebrows. If you have any queries about what is allowed, please consult with the Head of House before you take any action. A breach of this rule may result in students being isolated.
A maximum of one small plain stud may be worn in each ear. One ring is permitted on each hand.
The following are not permitted to be worn in school:
any facial or body piercings (other than the stud earrings mentioned above)
necklaces, bracelets, rings
Please note piercing retainers are not allowed to be used as a substitute for piercings. Any student attending school with piercings that are not permitted will be asked to remove them, regardless of whether or not they have healed. Plasters over unauthorised piercings are not acceptable.
We would advise all valuable items and those of sentimental value be left at home to avoid loss.
Light make up may be worn by Years 9 -11. When challenged by a member of staff, excessive make up will need to be removed.
Year 7 - 8 are not permitted to wear any make up.
