Bedford Parent Carer Forum - January Newsletter
Letter from our Chair
Happy New Year!
I hope everyone has kept safe and well throughout the festive period.
Bedford Borough Parent Carer Forum (BBPCF) have been working hard with all of your feedback they have received. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and please continue to do so during the coming year. Five hundred and fifty-six members completed our annual survey, which will form the basis of the State of the Nation report that we will be able to share with you shortly.
Coronavirus caused many changes and challenges to everyone's lives and routines. Throughout BBPCF have continued to keep the Parent Carer voice at the forefront of all the meetings we attend. All of us in the SEND community need to ensure co-production and positive relationships are built to ensure positive outcomes for our children. We know that we all have different experiences and views, that is what makes BBPCF so rich with knowledge.
Please tell us about your recent experience of all services your families are using. We also need your ideas of anything we can facilitate to help to empower our members.
Bedford Borough Parent Carer Forum are looking to hear all your feedback, both positive and negative to keep pushing for improvement and change. We need to know what is working well so that this can be built upon and transferred to other areas. Please remember we are here to listen and signpost, so please don't feel alone and stay safe.
Bedford Borough Council have produced some FAQ's, they said:
'We know how important it is to remain in contact and provide updates at this
uncertain time. Due to this we have been working closely with Bedford Borough
Parent Carer Forum and other key partners to collect the most common
frequently asked questions and to provide answers to these.
The current situation is changing on an almost daily basis so we do advise
families as much as possible to go to the Local Offer for updates, support and
guidance during this time. Please also follow the Local Offer on Facebook,
Twitter and Instagram for updates.
This information was correct as of 8th January 2021.'
