The main purpose of the Open Evening on the 25th September is to provide parents and children with a feel for the School through meeting staff and current students and to see the school in action.
Families arriving for their presentation first should enter via the Sports Hall Reception, where we will ask you to to sign-in on arrival, you will also receive prospectus information about the School. You are asked to take your seat for the presentation for a prompt start (please allow plenty of time to park). Following the presentation (Talk 1 and Talk 3), the guided tour will last for one hour and finish at 18:45.
Please also ensure that your child sits with you and accompanies you throughout the course of the evening (sorry, we don’t have room for siblings or friends).
If you book Talk 2 or Talk 4 you are asked to enter the School via the Main Reception and will also receive prospectus information about the School. You will be taken on a guided tour first and then escorted to the Main Hall for your presentation.
Please be aware that this will be an extremely busy evening. We kindly request that all visitors park on the New Field at the end of Station Road. You will be directed by Parking Marshalls on arrival at the Field. There is no parking available on the school site. In order to help ease parking and traffic difficulties in the village, we would ask local families to walk to the School and others to car share, if possible. We kindly request that you respect our neighbours on Station Road and do not park on the road side as it will add to the traffic difficulties on the evening. Nevertheless, parking will remain problematic as we are expecting over 200 families on the evening.
